Diplomas of different higher education institutions may have differences in appearance (material, design, size, placement of information, color). The requirements for diploma design are approved by the higher education institution.

Mandatory list of information for the period 2015-2020:

• surname, name and patronymic of the graduate;
• series (1 letter, 2 digits) and registration number of the diploma (6 digits), which is assigned to the document after registration in the Unified State Electronic Database on Education;
• year of graduation and name of the higher education institution;
• graduate’s qualification: educational and qualification level, specialty (in some cases – professional qualification), information on specialization and educational program are provided if necessary;
• position and signature of the head or authorized person, his/her surname and initials;
• seal;
• date of issue;
• is filled in in Ukrainian and English.

Examples starting in 2021

The list of information that must be included in a Specialist’s diploma starting from 2021:

• name and surname of the graduate;
• series (1 letter, 2 digits) and registration number of the diploma (6 digits), which is assigned to the document after registration in the Unified State Electronic Database on Education;
• year of graduation and name of the higher education institution;
• name of the educational program and the name of the accrediting body;
• graduate’s qualification: educational and qualification level, field of knowledge, specialty (in some cases – professional qualification), information on specialization is provided if necessary, and additional information is provided if the graduate has an award;
• position and signature of the head or authorized person, his/her name and surname;
• seal;
• date of issue;
• is filled in in Ukrainian and English.

Duplicates of Specialist’s Diploma

A duplicate of Specialist’s diploma is made in accordance with the form (template) effective as of the date of issuance of the duplicate. The duplicate reproduces the information about the document that was contained in the original document on higher education.
