The first month of the new 2024 ends for ENIC Ukraine with the news of the victory in the Call for Proposals of the Council of Europe grant program within the framework of the “Learners First – Support for the ENIC Centres” project. The project aims to contribute to the implementation of the Lisbon Recognition Convention, which is central for ensuring effective and fair recognition of qualifications in the EHEA, by supporting the network of ENIC Centres.
The successful completion of previous international projects, the experience of cooperation with international partners and the desire to develop and improve the field of recognition of educational qualifications allowed the specialists of ENIC Ukraine to prepare a proposal that was highly appreciated by the Strasbourg office of the Council of Europe (rating 4.67 out of 5).
Painstaking work lies ahead, because the project roadmap provides for:
- dissemination of the recommendations of the Council of Europe on combating fraud in the field of education;
- updating the website www.enic.in.ua and filling in information about educational qualifications obtained in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine;
- conducting a number of online and offline events for recognition specialists from other countries, higher education institutions of Ukraine and specialists of ENIC Ukraine;
- creation of a methodology for monitoring of the HEIs’ decisions on recognition, release and distribution of the report;
- creation and distribution of information digests;
- research and publication of materials about education systems of other countries;
- development of social media, in particular LinkedIn and YouTube.
The implementation of the Council of Europe project will last until November 30, 2024.
We wish good luck and inspiration to the ENIC Ukraine project team!
