Results of the online seminar on recognition

Today,September 13, 2024, the online seminar "Working with foreign educational documents originating from Central and North Africa" took place with the financial assistance of the Council of Europe within the framework of the project UaReConnect: "Reconnecting Ukrainian Educational Area".

The work of the event was opened by the Director of ENIC Ukraine Viktoriya Sergiyenko. During her speech, Mrs. Sergiyenko expressed her gratitude to the partners, in particular the Council of Europe and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the participants of the event; informed those present about the progress of the UaReConnect project, which will last until November 2024. The Director of ENIC Ukraine drew participants’ attention to the fact that with the entry into force of CMU Resolution No. 758 of June 28, 2024, higher education institutions must ensure the validation procedure for educational documents, on the basis of which foreigners and stateless persons enter higher education institutions of Ukraine. “Thank you for the courage to hold the educational front and continue to work for our common Victory!”, Mrs. Sergiyenko ended her speech with these words.

Senior Specialist of ENIC Ukraine Vitalii Prudkyi introduced those present to the peculiarities of working with educational documents from Algeria, Tunisia and Morocco. Advisor of ENIC Ukraine Yuliia Havrylenko continued the work of the seminar with a report on the peculiarities of recognition of educational documents from Cameroon and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

On the eve of the event, the participants had the opportunity to ask questions to the ENIC Ukraine credential evaluators, the answers to which were provided by the Head of the Recognition Department, Anna Bakhlukova, during the seminar.

ENIC Ukraine specialists conducted workshops for the credential evaluators of higher education institutions. During the workshops, practical cases with samples of foreign educational documents originating from Central and North Africa were presented. The participants of the event considered and analyzed in detail the proposed cases, received answers to additional questions regarding the recognition of foreign qualifications.
