Webinar for foreign credential evaluators. Outcomes

On October 25, 2024, the ENIC Ukraine team held a webinar "Current challenges during the evaluation of documents on education originating from Ukraine" for foreign credential evaluators of educational qualifications, in particular representatives of the ENIC-NARIC network,. The online event took place thanks to the financial assistance of the Council of Europe within the framework of the UaReConnect project: "Reconnecting Ukrainian Educational Area".

Credential evaluators from various countries of the world registered to participate in the webinar, including Austria, Andorra, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Great Britain, Greece, Georgia, Estonia, Denmark, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Canada, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Netherlands, Germany, Norway, South Africa, Romania, Slovenia, USA, Turkey, Hungary, France, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Sweden, etc. More than 80 participants took part in the webinar.

Skilled specialists of ENIC Ukraine Valeriia Borysenko, Tetiana Boichenko and Tetiana Vahina shared their experience of working with Ukrainian documents on education and answered the participants’ questions. ENIC Ukraine Advisor Valeriia Borysenko familiarized foreign credential evaluators with the stages of development of the education system of Ukraine in the preparation of educational documents, methods of their verification, and also imparted insights of the ENIC Ukraine team in detecting fake educational documents. Tetiana Boichenko, Senior Specialist of ENIC Ukraine, gave a detailed explanation on possibilities of verification of Ukrainian educational documents issued in the currently occupied territories of Ukraine before the start of hostilities or temporary occupation,. A sensitive topic for education applicants from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine is the recognition of their educational results both in the territory under the control of the Ukrainian authorities and in other countries. The webinar audience was introduced to the possibility of confirmation in Ukraine and recognition of such learning outcomes by Tetiana Vahina, Senior Advisor of ENIC Ukraine.

During the webinar, the participants received answers to urgent questions from the speakers and other experienced specialists of ENIC Ukraine, which they had the opportunity to ask in real time or in the chat of the event.

While the webinar, an air raid alarm sounded, which reminded to all that the russian federation continues its aggression war against the Ukrainian people. The moderator of the event, the Advisor of ENIC Ukraine, Vitalii Prudkyi, thanked everyone present for their support to Ukrainians throughout the war and noted: "Your efforts to provide shelter, education and opportunities for those displaced by the conflict are invaluable!"
