10th session of the Lisbon Convention Committee

On October 22, 2025, the 10th meeting of the Committee of the Convention on the Recognition of Qualifications concerning Higher Education in the European Region took place at UNESCO headquarters in Paris, France. Ukraine was represented among others by the ENIC Ukraine team — Deputy Director Nataliia Naumenko and Senior Specialist Tetiana Boichenko.
At the meeting, the Secretariats of the Council of Europe and UNESCO presented reports providing the Lisbon Recognition Convention Committee with an overview of their activities in the field of higher education. Information was also shared on the state of implementation of the European Qualifications Passport for Refugees and the UNESCO Qualifications Passport. The participants were informed about the latest developments related to the Global Convention on the Recognition of Qualifications concerning Higher Education, as well as updates on the ENIC/NARIC network and the revision of its Charter. Furthermore, the delegates participated in the discussion and approved the text of the Code of Good Practice of Transnational Education.
Another agenda item focused on the election of the new Bureau of the Lisbon Recognition Convention Committee, following a report on the Bureau’s activities for 2023–2025 and proposals for the 2025–2028 term.
At the end of the meeting, a heartfelt farewell was held for the outgoing Bureau, and the newly elected team was welcomed, consisting of First Vice-President Ms Jenneke Lokhoff (Netherlands), Second Vice-President Mr Michael Ringuette (Canada), and Rapporteur Ms Elisa Petrucci (Italy), led by President Mr Allan Bruun Pedersen (Denmark).
ENIC Ukraine joins in congratulating the new Bureau of the Lisbon Recognition Convention Committee and sincerely wishes them inspiration and success in their work.
